Why the Meta Quest 3?
The Meta Quest 3 is a powerful and at the same time affordable VR headset.
From our experience, it offers an optimal price-performance ratio.
A possible alternative is the HTC Vive Focus 3, which, in direct comparison, performs weaker in most areas.
Details on the Meta Quest 3
Connection & Power Supply: The Meta Quest 3 is connected to the PC via USB-C cable and is also powered through it.
Controller Tracking: Independent controller tracking through so-called inside-out tracking.
Additional Hardware: Aside from a powerful PC, no further hardware is required.
Software: The Meta Link App is required for usage and must be installed on the PC. You can find further instructions here.

Accounts:
Meta offers European business customers special business accounts through Meta Horizon Managed Solutions (Meta for Work).
If no business account is used, a regular Meta account is required.

Many of the data recordings can be disabled in the Quest 3 settings.
Important: All data created in Halocline is stored exclusively locally on the PC and cannot be viewed or analyzed by Meta at all.
