In Halocline you have the possibility to create backup copies of your entire data set. This way you can prevent data loss in case a problem occurs. A backup copy is also useful if you want to copy all your data from one computer to another.
Instruction
Scope of the backup copies
The saved data set contains:
- Shopfloor with work areas and variants,
- Including their contents, such as created work areas,
- Including work history of previous versions and changes,
- Library elements,
- Created KLTs and reach distance,
- Notes,
- Motion recordings from Performance,
- Exports and reports,
- Settings.
Note:
Before you create or restore your backup copy, make sure that the same version of Halocline is on the computer that you used when you created the backup copy. The same applies if you want to share your backup copy with another person.
Manage backup copies
Backup copies are managed in the Info menu. Click on Info (red arrow) and the Data tab.
1. Create
In the window that opens, select a location and click the Create button. The process may take a few minutes depending on the amount and size of the data.
2. Restore
Note:
Before restoring your backup copy, make sure that no newer data is lost in the process. Restoring a previously saved backup copy completely and irrevocably overwrites the current data state.
In the Restore Backup window, select the location of the backup copy you want to restore. All backup copies created in Halocline have the *.halobak file format.
To proceed, type the word RESTORE in the backup line below and click the Replace button.
