What hardware is supported?

VR Computer Requirements

For VR you need a powerful PC or laptop. We recommend at minimum:

• CPU: Intel i7
• RAM: at least 16 GB
• GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080 (or better)
  Alternatively: NVIDIA QUADRO RTX 6000 / NVIDIA RTX A5000

From Halocline version 2023.5 we support the hardware/software combinations listed below:

Minimum Requirements

For basic applications and smaller projects, a current office laptop is sufficient:

• Memory: at least 16 GB RAM
• Processor: Intel Ultra 7 or comparable performance class
• Graphics:
  • integrated GPU or
  • dedicated GPU, e.g. NVIDIA MX450 or higher
• Operating System: Windows 10 or higher

Suitable for simple layout planning and standard functions.

Recommended Requirements

For professional applications and larger projects we recommend a mobile workstation (CAD laptop):

• Memory: at least 16 GB RAM
• Processor: powerful mobile workstation CPU
• Graphics (dedicated, same or newer generations):
  • NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 MaxQ
  • NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada
  • NVIDIA Quadro P5000 MaxQ
  • NVIDIA RTX A3000 Mobile
• Operating System: Windows 11

This ensures smooth and stable performance even for large layouts; the dedicated GPU significantly boosts performance.
