Function
The minimum clearance width describes the minimum distance between two objects that must exist in order to ensure accident-free walking and transport routes.
Instructions
Show minimum clearance width
The minimum clearance width is displayed as a yellow grid on the floor. This can be displayed by activating the teleport function on the controller with your thumb (or by holding it down longer). The grid is generated around all fixed objects (boxes, grid boxes). Moving objects (components, KLTs, CADs and gripping shells), objects lower than 5 cm and higher than 180 cm are not included in the calculation.
Show shortest walking and transport distance
If you hold the touchpad down for longer (approx. 0.35 seconds), the shortest possible distance that the avatar would travel when teleporting is also displayed. The path and the distance are represented by a line on the ground. If you release the teleport button, the avatar will travel the exact path that was shown to you before.
Adjusting the clearance width value
You can adjust the value of the minimum clearance width individually in the settings window. To do this, select "Settings" in the menu and then the "Station" tab. Use the default values to adjust your clearance width. The grid is automatically recalculated and displayed.
In the settings window you also have the option of permanently displaying the minimum clearance width. If you select this option, the visualisation on the ground is not only displayed when teleporting, but permanently.
