In the Assembly tab of the desktop application you manage your product data. From here you open selected CAD files in the VR application of Halocline Assembly. There you can analyze CAD data, disassemble it and export individual assemblies.
You will find the Assembly tab at the top left of the desktop application.
Import CAD data
Click Import at the top left and select one or more files in one of the supported CAD formats.
The selected files appear in the list. Wait until the loading bar on the file disappears.
Start VR
Make sure your headset is connected and ready to use. You can open one file or several files at once.
One file
In the list, click the blue Start VR button to the right of the CAD file. The VR application opens in a new window. Put on your headset to start planning in VR.
Several files
Select the CAD files you want with the checkmark on the left. Then click the blue Start VR button at the top right. In the VR application, all selected files are automatically placed one behind the other.
You can load as many files at once as you like. Keep in mind, though, that the amount and size of the data affect the performance of the VR application.
Manage files
Context menu
Click the three dots on a file to open the context menu. There you can rename or delete the file.
Search
Type the name of the CAD file you are looking for into the search bar to find it faster.
Good to know
- With each import, Halocline creates a converted copy of the CAD file. It contains all CAD information of the original file that Halocline supports.
- Once converted, data does not need to be reloaded each time. Files you have already imported are therefore available much faster.
- The converted files are kept when you uninstall Halocline.
- Exported assemblies are automatically bundled in one collection per CAD file.
