Are There Licenses for Specific Modules or Feature Packages?
Certain features are tied to the higher tiers: features such as extensive process and motion analyses, ergonomics assessments or Design-for-Manufacturing are available exclusively in Professional. Advanced exports and manufacturer libraries are available starting from Basic. You will find a complete overview of all included features at halocline.io/offer.
What Is the Difference Between Named and Floating Licenses?
The license type determines whether usage is tied to a fixed person or can be shared flexibly within the team. Named licenses are available starting from the Basic tier; the choice between Named and Floating is available exclusively with Professional.
Named licenses
- Person-bound: Permanently assigned to a specific person.
- Exclusive: Even when the person is not active, the license remains reserved.
- Ideal for regular users who work with Halocline on an ongoing basis.
Floating licenses (Professional only)
- Flexible: Not tied to a single person.
- Shared use: As soon as one user closes the software, another can step in.
- Cost-efficient: Especially for teams in which different people work with Halocline.
How Many Users Can Use a License at the Same Time?
Licenses are generally user-bound – one license applies to one person. In the Professional tier there is an exception: there you can purchase Floating licenses that can be shared flexibly among several people. This way, whoever is actively working uses the license at any given time.
Tip: Not sure which tier suits you? Start for free with Free to get to know Halocline, and upgrade later to Basic or Professional – your projects are retained in the process.
